Have you ever taken the time to ask yourself?

I’m not surprised if you haven’t as it’s a big one to answer, it may require you to unravel long held beliefs about who you thought you were, especially if your understanding of self has been based on the beliefs of others and what has been expected of you by society, family, friends, lovers and the expectations placed on us by the perfectionist in us.

There’s a simple way of starting the process of self discovery but it first requires you to accept that:

Life is happening FOR you not to you

Once we get that out of the way we can begin to see that all the places, people and things have a purpose in your life, and that purpose is to give you a deeper understanding of who you are.

How you relate in life shows you

If you or I were all alone in this great big universe with nothing else but ourselves within it, we wouldn’t know who we are, because how we relate to everything around us, tells us everything about us.

To help you uncover and understand who you are and who you want to be, we must go on a journey through the layers of relating in your life.
Imagine looking at a cross section of ‘Inner Earth’ made up of three rings.

Environment — The first or outer ring or mirror is your relationship to the environment. We experience through our sensory perception, generally made up of our five senses and an essential understanding that we have lost the art of knowing, and trusting, our intuitive sense. This section will encourage you to ask questions about how you feel, see, hear, taste, smell, and intuitively sense about your environment and your relationship to the natural world.

Others — The second ring is your relationship with others. Your family, friends, and of course, those deep, romantic connections we make with others that may cause us so much joy and pain. They all come with many lessons and much growth if we are willing to look at them and take personal responsibility for our roles and behaviours. This ‘mirror’ feeds back to us like no other about who we are and who we want to be, because ultimately we relate to other human beings like us on the same journey, but each of us decides to do it in our unique way.

You — The final mirror is the core of ‘Inner Earth’. You have the lead role in your life movie, and how you relate to yourself. What your inner and outer world shows you about who you are and who you want to be. Acknowledging your feelings, accepting all elements that make up who you are so that you come to accept and embrace your life. Your journey is nothing more or less than a miraculous and wonderful personal experience and unique expression.

The Journey

Once you have made the entire journey to the centre of your soul, you will have a deeper understanding of who you are and who you want to be. This will make life a more fascinating and joyous daily experience with trust and faith at your core.
